SCOUTS TASMANIA ABSEILING
AND CLIMBING TOWER
N71 NORTH STREET
Want to overcome your fear of height? Love to climb or want to
abseil? See what the Scouts love.
Scouts Tasmania Adventurous Activities Team is at the Scout
Climbing and Abseiling Tower, are you ready to test your skills?
Try out the climbing wall and see how high you can go, touch
the top rail then climb or belay back down.
Have you ever abseiled down a tower? Let us harness you up,
take you to the top for a great view of Agfest and then guide you
over the edge so you can abseil back to the ground.
See the Scout Leaders being trained to change ropes while
halfway down the tower or being rescued from a mock incident.
Be part of the adventure, come and discuss more about
Scouting with the onsite crew. See you there or you’ll see us.
Come and meet our helpful employees and learn about
biosecurity, parks and reserves, harvest jobs and more.
Find out from Biosecurity Tasmania how you can protect our
island State from pests, diseases, and weeds, by getting to
know your General Biosecurity Duty (GBD).
Agriculture and Water employees will be informing visitors
about ‘Tassie Harvest Jobs - take your pick’. There are still
seasonal crops to harvest; come and have a chat to see what
roles are on offer.
EPA Tasmania will be explaining new waste and resource
recovery and recycling initiatives, including the statewide
Container Refund Scheme (CRS) which aims to reduce litter
and boost recycling.
Find those exhibits and more at site 827, Quercus Park,
Carrick from 5 - 8 May.
Also while at Agfest, catch something fishy by using the new
fishing simulators at the Recreational Fisheries site at North 66.
